Don Muang Tollway Public Company Limited: Managing Transportation Infrastructure
Don Muang Tollway Public Company Limited (DMT), the operator of the Don Muang Elevated Tollway, which spans approximately 21 kilometers, celebrates 30 years of expertise in the management, operation, and maintenance of elevated highways. The company incorporates advanced technology to enhance efficiency in all areas, providing convenient, fast, and safe services to ensure maximum satisfaction for road users. DMT's efforts contribute to national transportation and logistics development, supporting economic recovery and tourism, with plans to raise funds through the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Mr. Tarnin Phanichewa, Managing Director of DMT, stated that the company is a key player in managing Thailand’s transportation infrastructure, overseeing the Don Muang Elevated Tollway under a concession agreement. The route connects crucial areas, including a 15.4 km stretch from Din Daeng to Don Muang and a 5.6 km section to the National Memorial, part of the national road network. DMT is committed to improving service quality and enhancing road safety with advanced traffic management systems.
DMT’s vision is to be a leading tollway operator, connecting road networks and transportation systems while providing exceptional service with efficiency and safety. Their strategy focuses on expanding business operations, integrating new technologies, and increasing operational effectiveness through projects like the Smart Project, which utilizes modern technology for real-time traffic management, and the shift to an Electronic Toll Collection System (ETC).
The company is also exploring further investment opportunities through public-private partnerships, such as extending the elevated tollway network and developing other infrastructure projects. With over three decades of experience, DMT aims to strengthen the country’s transportation infrastructure, contributing to long-term economic growth and positioning itself as a key player in Thailand’s logistics and tourism sectors.
As of 2023, DMT is preparing for a public offering, with plans to use funds raised from its IPO to pay off debt and fund operational activities. The company continues to uphold its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and growth in the evolving transportation industry.
